WrestleMania 41 is edging nearer and rumors for the biggest show of the year is reaching the sky. There had been so many rumors about the World Championship matches scenario. One of the most rumored matches for the show would be Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock for the WWE Championship.
There is another rumor about The Rock at WrestleMania 41; the match that could not happen at WrestleMania 40, which is Roman Reigns vs. The Rock. The fans were not ready to accept it as the main event of Mania 40, but this can well be the main event of Mania 41. This can either be a World title match or a non title match.

There are more rumors like John Cena potentially winning his much awaited 17th World title to beat the record of Ric Flair, and even a potential triple threat match between Seth Rollins, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship. But what does Dave Meltzer had to say about the possibilities of big matches for the event? Speaking on "Wrestling Observer Radio," Meltzer revealed;
"The idea of Punk and Roman Reigns is certainly a thing that's been going around in the past week," Meltzer said. "And I think there's something to it."
Roman Reigns vs. The Rock is Rumored for WrestleMania 41
"It absolutely was a major thing, [people] talking about WrestleMania being John Cena going for the 17th Championship and breaking Ric Flair's record," Meltzer said. "So it could've been GUNTHER, it could've been whoever beats GUNTHER, it could've been Cody. Probably wasn't going to be Cody if Rock was doing the show. Right now, it is Cody."
Roman Reigns is also rumored for other big matches
"If Dwayne wants Cody, it's probably going to happen that way," said Meltzer, "Maybe Dwayne will go for Roman. It's up to Dwayne, that's up to Dwayne. So there's a lot of possibilities. But Punk and Roman's one of them."
The Rock vs. CM Punk is not much talked about yet but it can be a huge match for WrestleMania 41. If they bring in their angle from 2013, this angle can get even stronger. Moreover, The Rock vs. Roman Reigns is still a favorite and it is definitely happening at a WrestleMania main event. But will it be WrestleMania 41? We have to wait a little more to get the answers.
