John Cena; one of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling is scheduled to retire by the end of 2025 and throughout this year, he will continue his quest to win his 17th World title. He is presently tied with Ric Flair with 16 World title reigns which is the highest number of World title reigns recognized by WWE.
His retirement tour began at the Netflix RAW Premiere by cutting an electrifying promo. He entered the men’s Royal Rumble match earlier this month but failed to win it. Next, he will compete at the Elimination Chamber to get the opportunity to challenge Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

So far, the farewell tour of ‘The Champ’ has been really amazing. He still has many appearances left in his present contract and he will work almost as a full timer. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker spoke with the “SHAK Wrestling” podcast where The Dead Man explained the importance and need of this retirement tour. Here is what he had to say;

“I think it’s great that they’re doing this tour the way they are. I don’t think everybody deserves that. I think Cena definitely does because of the workhorse that he was for so long. I think it’s great because people will have an opportunity to know where he’s going to be and you’re going to get one last opportunity maybe to see him live.”

The Undertaker continued, “I think that’s pretty cool. I think John gets to get his flowers the way he should. I think this might be the prototype for certain wrestlers to do their swan song and leave.” Explained the former seven times WWE World Champion.

According to reports from multiple media sources, John Cena is the planned winner of the men’s Elimination Chamber match this year and he will go on to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. But will he be able to capture the title during his farewell tour? Time only knows.
