It seems like Vivo has been on a spree of launching smartphones back and forth, for, as of today, the brand has introduced eight smartphones this month alone, including the Y21T, V23, V23 Pro, Y33T, Y21e, Y55 5G, and Y21A. And, of course, the last edition to this is the Vivo Y75 5G.
The Vivo Y75 5G, however, isn’t an entirely new smartphone as it takes from the Y55 5G and comes with more RAM and an enhanced high-res front selfie camera. Where the Vivo Y55 5G comes with 4GB of RAM and an 8MP selfie shooter, the Y75 5G takes the quotient one step ahead and comes with 8GB of RAM (+ 4GB virtual RAM) and a 16MP selfie camera.
As for the rest of the specifications of the Y75 5G, these include a 6.58-inch Full HD+ LCD panel with a waterdrop notch at the top, a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with 128GB of storage – expandable up to 1TB via microSD – and Funtouch OS 12 skin on top of Android 11 (likely). It weighs 188g and is 8.25mm thick, as for its dimensions.
While you have read about the front camera already, the cherry on top is the rear camera, which goes as far as 50MP for the primary shooter, backed up by two 2MP sensors, one for taking macro shots and the other one for depth sensing. The rear camera features include a Super Night Mode, which is essential in today’s day-and-age thanks to the beautiful lights we can capture with the help of Night Mode.
Besides that, the phone comes backed up with a rather sizeable 5,000mAh battery, which can be topped up by charging speeds up to 18W via a USB-C port. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for secure biometric authentication.
Announced in two colours – Starlight Black and Glowing Galaxy – the Vivo Y75 5G is priced at Rs. 21,990 for the lone 8GB + 64GB trim. At the price, it goes up against the likes of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G and the newly-launched moto g71 5G. You can grab the Vivo Y75 5G through Vivo's official Indian website and partner retail stores.
