From Software’s Bloodborne was released back in 2015 and it completely followed a different storyline from the other Soulslike games. But this game is also one of the most famous among the Soulslike genre despite sharing similar gameplay.
It received multiple major awards and it also received extremely positive reviews. From the storyline to gameplay, this game was a masterpiece. The fans of the series still adore this video game. Moreover, this game is worshipped among the hardcore RPG and Soulslike fans.
Potential update on Bloodborne 2 and possible bad news regarding it
But in nearly a decade time, the fans did not get to see a sequel despite it had been much requested. From Software brought in many classics after Bloodborne’s success like Dark Souls 3, Sekiro, Demon’s Souls Remake, and Elden Ring. But there has not been any mention of a potential sequel to Bloodborne as of now.

But recently, From Software released a trailer of a brand new video game named Buskbloods which has the same Soulslike mechanism, and surprisingly, it has high similarities with Bloodborne. Instantly, the fans started to make theories that this game possibly is the much awaited Bloodborne 2.

But there is one huge issue; this game is going to be a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. So even if this is Bloodborne 2, most of the fans will not be able to play it as not everyone owns a Playstation and a Switch at the same time.

The only way the fans could play Duskbloods if it is ever ported to multiple other platforms or at least in the PlayStation. But looking at the history of the exclusives in Switch, there is not much chances. However, this game is made by a third party company, so let’s never say never. Or maybe, this is actually not the sequel to Bloodborne, maybe, it is still on its way.
