Trish Stratus worked actively in WWE since 2000 and she is widely considered one of the best female athletes in professional wrestling history. She is also respected as one of the pioneers of the women’s revolution.
During her early career, she mostly worked as a valet and she started working regularly in the ring regularly from 2001. One of the early big matches of her career was booked back in February 2001 at the No Way Out event where she faced Stephanie McMahon. It was one of the earliest big storylines of Trish. She was also new in the ring during the time. So this match was definitely not very easy for her. Recently the WWE Hall of Famer revealed Triple H was the one who prepared her for this match. Speaking with inside The Ropes recently, she revealed;
“It was, uh, my first singles pay-per-view match where we had a storyline going in, two defined characters, and the fans were super invested.” Trish Stratus said. “It was a huge story. A big part of the entire show. Honestly, there were really low expectations for both Stephanie and me because we weren’t ‘wrestlers,’ so to speak. But we really wanted to prove everyone wrong.”

“People probably thought it was just going to be a catfight because that’s what we’d been doing up until then. But we decided to step into the ring and give it our all. We had a few training sessions, and if you didn’t stick to the chronological details, you’d see how we really came together.

“One day, Triple H came in, and I remember thinking, ‘That’s so generous of him to care so much about us as characters on the show.’ He was there to help us put the match together, which was so kind of him. His involvement helped elevate everything and exceeded expectations,” said Trish Stratus.
She was still not perfectly ready for performing regularly in the ring, and it took her 9 more months to taste her first championship success. She won the WWE Women’s Championship at Survivor Series 2001. She was one of the biggest names of the WWE Ruthless Aggression Era and she also won the Women’s title seven titles in total.
