Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 has been enthralled to many sentiments, ups and downs, morose and cheers,but there are some performances from both sides which are really astounding the cricket.

5. Scott Boland:

Scott Boland's bowling average against India in Test cricket, the best for any bowler against them in this century (minimum 15 wickets). Boland also became the first fast bowler to take a ten-wicket haul in Sydney since 2003. His 6 for 45 at Sydney, was really worked as a turbine to the momentum. 

4. Travis Head:

Head scored 448 runs at 56. While he struck at 92.56, no other batter with at least 120 runs had a strike rate of even 70. Best score was 152 at Brisbane. The highest run scorer of this series.

3. Pat Cummins:

Pat Cummins led from the front and was not only brilliant with the ball but also chipped in with significant contributions with the bat in the lower-order, often bailing his team out of a hole and scoring invaluable runs. He was the second-highest wicket-taker of the series with 25 dismissals at an average of 21.36.  

Cummins destroyed India’s middle and lower order in the second innings in Adelaide before returning with a fifer at The Gabba. His 41 in the second innings rescued Australia from 91/6 and lifted them to 234 swinging the momentum back in his team’s favour.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal:

The 23-year-old left-handed batter was one of India's standout performers, amassing 391 runs at an average of 43.44. Sensational star of this year Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, second highest scorer in the series. His highest score was 161.

1. Jasprit Bumrah:

Jasprit Bumrah was a festival with the ball through the series and returned with a crucial 32 wickets in nine innings at an average of 13.06 and strike rate of 28.37. His wicket tally was the highest for an Indian bowler in an away series surpassing Bishan Singh Bedi’s record of 31 wickets on the tour to Australia in 1977-78.

Bumrah VS Australia:

Bumrah was phenomenally consistent and picked two four-wicket hauls and three fifers in the series. He was the Player of the Match at Perth for his match-winning spell of 5/30 in the first innings which skittled the hosts for just 104 and gave India the ascendancy in the match. Moreover, Border-Gavaskar Trophy this year was cordial to the bowlers and became a witness box for the new comers.
