WWE has finally introduced two mid card titles for their women’s division. Each of their brands got their own version of mid card titles for the women. To crown the inaugural champions, WWE organized two 12 women tournaments. In Smackdown, we already got the first champion in form of Chelsea Green.
In RAW, the inaugural champion is yet to be crowned as on the Netflix RAW premier, Lyra Valkyria and Dakota Kai will face each other in the final of the tournament and the winner will be crowned the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. The winner’s name will go down as the inaugural Women’s IC Champion.
Tommy Dreamers Gives His View on Who Should Have on Women's Intercontinental Championship
But different opinions are shared by the fans and also the pundits on who should have become the inaugural champion. Wrestling legend Tommy Dreamer recently talked about this tournament and expressed his view about it. Speaking on “Busted Open” recently, he said that Natalya should have been the inaugural Women’s IC champion;

"As for Nattie, I thought she had a great appearance, great showing, kind of stole the show, and I'm the biggest Nattie fan," said the former ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer, "I agree with her [tweet] — would've loved to see Nattie win this, be the first-ever Women's Intercontinental Champion. I thought it would've added to her already first ballot Hall of Fame, and she looks good — she looks actually better than ever — and she works her ass off."

"It's such a moment if this woman wins," said Dreamer. "It would've been a great feel-good moment, and again, if it's a first — Chelsea [Green], even though she's a heel got a massive babyface pop — and it should've gone to Nattie as well." Concluded the respected ECW original.
Natalya participated in the tournament but unfortunately, she was eliminated in the first round. At this point, it is highly doubtful if Natalya will ever win any championships in WWE again since the promotion is only considering her as a jobber to promote talents. But she is definitely respected a lot by the promotion and she will always be remembered as a legend.
