Despite being a Megastar The Rock could not maintain a regular status in WWE after SummerSlam 2002 as he moved to Hollywood permanently. Much like his amazing WWE career, Dwayne also had an excellent career in Hollywood and at a point he was one of the biggest stars of American film industry.
But the Hollywood megastar made occasional returns in WWE including one of his most famous famous returns which dates back to 2012 and 2013 when he had to Mega matches with John Cena at WrestleMania 28 and WrestleMania 29 respectively. His involvement made WrestleMania 28 the most bought be pay per view event in WWE history.

Recently he made another return to get involved in the Bloodline storyline and last year it was almost invitable that he would go on to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. But after seeing the response of the fans he decided not to go with the match. Still he got involved in the main event of Night 1 where he teamed up with Roman Reigns to take on the team of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

Dwayne's performance in this match was surprisingly excellent and he also pinned Cody. He did not have any match after that but he is strongly rumoured to be featured in the main event of WrestleMania 41. There are multiple matches rumoured for him. As of now it looks like he is definitely featuring on the main event of WrestleMania 41.

Dwayne recently featured on an interview with PEOPLE where he claimed that it is incredibly hard to maintain his Physics at his age. He said; “It’s incredibly hard. The training becomes really extensive, and the training camp becomes extensive. So, I went [to] training camp for WrestleMania, which was about an eight- to nine-week training camp. It’s really fast, and fortunately, I was able to get through it all.”
As of now two big matches are rumored to be the main event of WrestleMania 41 including The Rock. One of the matches is a WWE championship match where Dwayne goes on to challenge Cody Rhodes for the title. The other one is the match that could not happen last year; The Rock vs Roman Reigns.
