The Elder Scrolls is one of the best RPG series, and it has been entertaining the fans for three long decades. But there has not been any release in the famous series for the last 13 years. At a point, it seemed like the series is dead until 2018 when he makers made the announcement of The Elder Scrolls VI.
But it has been seven long years since the announcement, and still, there is not enough progress more than “The Game is Definitely Coming Out” and nothing more. But recently, executive producer at Bethesda Game Studios Todd Howard shared a big update on the release of the sixth part of the series. He said;

“Obviously we’re working on the sixth chapter here, but what’s great about The Elder Scrolls is being able to look back at all of the chapters,” said Howard. “Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind, Daggerfall, Arena… each of them tried to define role-playing games and open-world games for their generation.”
The Elder Scrolls series started back in 1994
It has been confirmed that Bethesda Game Studios had been working on Starfield, and it had been their primary objective until September 2023. After the release of Starfield, they are now pretty much focused on The Elder Scrolls VI, and we can expect this game to get released by the end of 2026, or maybe later.
The Elder Scrolls VI had been confirmed in 2018
The first part of the series; Arena, was released back in 1994, and it was an MS DOS game. The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall was also released for MS DOS in 1996. It had two spin offs. The third part, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, was released for Windows and Xbox in 2002, and it had at least five spin offs.

In 2006, they released The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and it was one of the most famous titles of the series. It had three spin offs. In 2011, they released The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which turned out to be the highest sold game of the series. It also had three spin offs. Recently, they released The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Now all eyes are on the upcoming The Elder Scrolls VI.
