Sony’s PS5 is among the most popular and top gaming consoles across the world. The Japanese technology giant has taken the veils of a new slimmer model of PS5, of late, which comes with a higher price tag. The slimmer PS5 also comes with enhanced specs compared to the original PS5 model. It has 1TB storage and comes in two variants- PS5 Digital Edition and PS5. You get an option to add a UHD Blu-ray Disc Drive to it.
SIE Content Communications Senior Director Sid Shuman said on the release of the PS5 model that it will help players with evolving gaming requirements. The new form factor offers players enhanced flexibility while the storage capacity has gone up to 1TB. If you are curious about the actual dimensions, the new PS5 has 30% less volume and its weight is 18% less than the predecessor. The body has a mix of matte and glossy surface materials.
The new PS5 model is slated to go on sale this November, as per Sony sources. The PS5 Digital Edition sells for $449.99 while the one with UHD Blu-ray disc drive will cost you $499.99. You get a horizontal stand for $29.99 extra. The new model weighs only 3.2 kg. Spec-wise, the new PS5 Slim ticks all the right boxes, coming with the latest hardware and handy connectivity choices.
