John Cena announced last year that he would retire by 2025 and at the Netflix RAW Premiere last January, he cleared his intentions of winning the 17th world title at WrestleMania 41. In the quest of winning the title he entered the men's Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble event last Saturday. He was really close to winning the Rumble but ultimately he was eliminated by Jey Uso.
He can still enter the Elimination Chamber at the upcoming Elimination Chamber event and win the match to challenge for the other World title at WrestleMania 41. A large number of fans are waiting to see him win the world title for one last time since it would beat the record set by "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Presently, both are tired in 16 World titles.
Shocking: The Undertaker Does Not Want John Cena to Win 17th World Title!
Reports suggest that Cena will be active in WWE for the rest of the year and he can win the world title anytime this year. However, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker believed that Cena did not have the need to win the 17th World title. Recently he reflected on this topic while speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast. Here is what The Deadman has to say;

“He’s on his way out—this is his goodbye tour,” he said. “He needs to be put in some meaningful spots and get some wins because he hasn’t won in over 2,000 days or whatever. He does need to get some key wins, but in the big, important matches, he probably should pass the baton.”

“I think that’s his mindset as well. I don’t believe, by any means, that he wants to get his hand raised every time on the way out. That’s not John’s character. I think he wants to pay it forward and do the best he can for the company.” concluded The Phenom.
A huge number of fans are looking forward to a much awaited heel run from John Cena during his final year in WWE. It had been a major request from a lot of fans during his prime time but after turning babyface in November 2003, Cena never turned heel. We all know what heel John Cena and we still believe that The Champ should reward his fans by portraying a heel character once and for all.
