Cody Rhodes has been active in the wrestling world for nearly two decades and he faced loads of big names throughout his professional wrestling career. Presently, he is the face of WWE and arguably the biggest name of the promotion. But his journey to become a top wrestler was never easy.
As mentioned above, he had to go through multiple top opponents throughout his wrestling career. One of the toughest opponent of his career, who made him feel like their matches were almost non-scripted. This opponent was none other than former ten times WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar.

Rhodes and Lesnar had an excellent feud in 2023 following Rhodes’ defeat at WrestleMania 39 at the hands of Roman Reigns. WWE Was desperate to build Rhodes worthy enough for challenging Roman again at WrestleMania 40. Brock Lesnar was the first name who helped over Rhodes.

But fighting Lesnar was never easy for Rhodes. Speaking on "2 Bears, 1 Cave" recently, Rhodes explained; "The three matches I had with Brock Lesnar are the most competitive [ones I've had]," Rhodes said. "There's a thing when you work with a guy who's a big monster, where they make you earn it. You're not just grabbing my leg, even though that might be the spot. You're not just hitting me with the Cody Cutter. You have to actually earn it."

"I look back at those three matches lovingly and so proud of the body of work we put up but also I remember, 'scared' is probably an appropriate term," Rhodes said, being unable to compare it to any wrestling, professional or amateur, that he's ever done. "That was the most real it had ever been for me in the ring. It gave me a whole new education."
Brock Lesnar’s push helped Rhodes a lot to dethrone Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 but this feud was also marked Brock Lesnar’s last appearance in WWE. It has been one and a half years since we last saw The Beast Incarnate in WWE. There had been multiple rumors of his return every now and then, but still no confirmation.
