Paul Heyman is widely considered one of the biggest non wrestling personnel in professional wrestling history. He earned his recognition from the fans during his Extreme Championship Wrestling days; the promotion that was famously known as ECW among the wrestling fans. Paul E. Dangerously was one of the most famous names of the wrestling world during the time.
After the death of ECW, Heyman moved to WWE during the invasion angle and he was one of the key figures of the WWE vs. Alliance storyline. He started playing managerial roles after the Ruthless Aggression Era started. Brock Lesnar was the first wrestler that Heyman managed followed by many other big names.

He was also a part of the ECW during its resurrection. He left WWE in December 2006 only to return to the promotion in 2012. Since then he has managed many big names such as CM Punk and Brock Lesnar. He is still active in WWE. Recently, Heyman spoke to Logan Paul on his Impaulsive Podcast where he was asked about his feelings on being addressed as One of the Greatest Ever. He replied;

“I’m not flattered by that at all. It’s the phrase ‘one of’. You’re both in committed relationships now, right? Yeah, so if your significant other wakes up next to you and says, ‘You’re one of the best lovers I’ve ever had,’ is it a morning spent in bed together, or is it a call to the divorce lawyer?” Paul Heyman said.
“‘One of’ is not flattering at all. The objective is to be the greatest. If anybody takes Wikipedia seriously, when they write ‘one of’ in a credentialed biography of Paul Heyman, it immediately kills their credibility. Anybody who follows this industry knows that I’m not “one of” anything. I am the GOAT — and that should be acknowledged, accepted, respected, and worshipped.”

“When people read Wikipedia and it says ‘one of’, they look at that, and I’ll say it right into that camera: they go, “F** Wikipedia.” If Wikipedia would like to unf*** that f***, they are welcome to change the biography to reflect what is historically accurate.” Concluded Heyman.
The Wiseman is presently a part of one of the longest running storylines of WWE which is the Bloodline saga and he is also creatively involved in this storyline. He became a part of it after he started managing Roman Reigns in 2020. Heyman can be expected to remain in WWE as long as he retires from the world of professional wrestling.
