Earlier this month, WWE celebrated its 38th annual Royal Rumble event which consisted two Royal Rumble matches. This year’s men’s Royal Rumble match had all the potential to be the Rumble match in history. It had the ability to surpass Rumble 1992 in terms of star power. It also had the potential to be an even better Rumble match than 2001, which is widely considered the best Rumble match ever.
But did it live up to its expectations? It may be debatable but one thing everyone could agree on is that the men’s Rumble match of 2025 will always be remembered for producing the most shocking Rumble outcome ever. John Cena and CM Punk had been the odds on favorite to win this year’s men’s Rumble match. The Rock was also in consideration.

But nobody expected to see Jey Uso winning the Rumble match. Overall, Jey Uso’s victory received mixed reactions from the fans but it cannot be denied that it was one of the most shocking outcomes in Royal Rumble history. He earned the right to challenge a champion of his choice at WrestleMania 41.
Gunther is the longest reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion in WWE history
In a recent episode of Monday Night RAW, Jey Uso announced that he would challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41. It is reported to be the main event of night 1 of the event. The champion Gunther recently discussed his upcoming championship match at WrestleMania and hyped it while speaking with The Daily Mail. He said;
Gunther is the winner of the King of The Ring tournament of 2024
“I’m not interested in wrestling Jey at WrestleMania. I was looking for somebody who is one of the last few remaining guys on the roster that I would say are maybe one step ahead of me, and it would have been nice to be in there with one of them, to bring them down one inch and make a step up.”

A large number of fans are not very excited about this match since these two wrestlers have faced each other multiple times in recent days. Their latest match took only a week before Royal Rumble. There has not been a strong build up to this match either. But they have WrestleMania in front of them to answer all of their critics, and we hope to see an amazing match at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
