Santino Marella was one of the biggest attractions of WWE during the Ruthless Aggression Era of the promotion. He is also considered one of the best comedians in WWE history. He was a Championship winning wrestler in the promotion but he is mostly remembered for his excellent comedy works.
Santino is also remembered for having one of the best debuts in professional in wrestling history. On the day of his debut, he was sitting in the crowd as a fan. He was randomly picked to challenge Umaga to challenge for the Intercontinental Championship. He was almost destroyed by Umaga when Bobby Lashley appeared and helped him to win the Championship. it still remains one of the most shocking events in wrestling history.
Santino Marella Recalls Angle With Snoop Dogg From WrestleMania 24
Soon after starting to work on full time in WWE, Santino had been started to be presented mostly as a comedian. In 2008, he had an angle with Hollywood legend Snoop Dogg where the duo was seen smoking weed. While his recent appearance on the “No Name Wrestling Podcast” Santino remembered this angle;

“It was my first WrestleMania, and I’m doing something with Snoop. So I get there, and I’m walking around. It’s a different atmosphere. The catering’s a little extra nice, everyone’s in a great mood. Everyone’s happy, and they go, ‘Yeah, can you please go to Snoop Dogg’s bus and just talk briefly about what you’re gonna be doing later?’”

“As I walked on the bus, I was greeted with a blunt. I was like, okay. It’s Snoop Dogg, right, you’re not gonna say no [laughs], so I smoked with him. I don’t know what kind of weed he has, but I was in the best mood ever. I was walking around [smiling], it’s very euphoric, uplifting weed. I just had a permanent smile on my face all day. I went right to catering.”
Santino Marella has an excellent record as the a mid card as he won the WWE Intercontinental Championship two times, the WWE United States Championship one time, and also WWE Tag Team Championship once. Presently he is active in TNA Wrestling playing his WWE character. His daughter is doing an excellent job in the NXT under the ring name Arianna Grace.
