Samsung unveils rugged T9 SSD

Korean technology giant Samsung has launched a new SSD aimed at heavy users and content creators. The new T9 SSD is quite compact but boasts of high storage capacity. The device has a maximum supported storage capacity of 4TB and Samsung has equipped it with USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 ports. So, it theoretically supports a read or write speed of 2,000 MB/s. This will be ideal for users who need to store and transfer high volumes of data, including HD content.

Samsung has said the T9 SSD will be sold in 3 variants with different storage capacity, starting from 1 TB. The company has equipped the RoHS 2-compliant SSD with its dynamic thermal guard technology. It results in consistent and speedy data transfer and little to no heating. In fact, the company has said the SSD can survive if dropped from a height of 3 meters. It comes with a reassuring five-year limited warranty.

Samsung has used its Magician software 8.0 in the T9 SSD. This application will make it simple to transfer data. It will support multiple platforms. This SSD supports smartphones, MacOS, Windows as well as the top tablets, gaming consoles. With it, you get USB Type C-to-A and C-to-C cables. You may also link it with 8K high-resolution cameras directly. You get the safety of AES 256-bit hardware encryption in it.

All these goodies, do not come for cheap, for sure! Samsung T9 SSD pricing begins at INR 12799 while the top-end variant costs INR 33599. The device is as small as a regular credit card and weighs 122 grams.
