The Royal Rumble event is arguably the most famous gimmick match types in wrestling history and it is extremely popular among the fans for multiple reasons; one of the biggest reasons is the unpredictability of who is going to enter the match next, and of course, the surprise entrants that enter the Rumble matches almost every year.
Much like the previous years, this year also has many names rumored to feature in the two Rumble matches as the surprise appearances. Some of the top stars have already been announced to be participating in the Rumble match. One of the biggest names to enter the men’s Rumble match is John Cena.

There are also top names heavily rumored for the women’s Royal Rumble match. Charlotte Flair returning at Rumble as an entrant is already reported and she is also rumored to win the women’s Rumble match this year. Becky Lynch is also heavily rumored to make her WWE return at the women’s Rumble match.

There is another name that has recently came out to be possibly joining the Rumble match and that is the WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. The former seven times Women’s Champion did not have any match after her defeat to Becky Lynch at Payback 2023. Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass podcast recently talked about Trish Stratus where they reported the following;

“I know it’s been discussed. I know she will be in Indianapolis, I know WWE is bringing her in. I don’t know specifically if it is for a Rumble appearance but I know it’s been discussed. There’s only so many women’s legends they can call on, especially those that can still do it, and she’s one of them. So if she’s willing and they’re willing, I’d say better than a good shot she’s there.”
Trish has appeared in only one Rumble match so far which was the inaugural women’s Rumble match which took place in 2018. She was the final entrant of the match and she recorded three eliminations by her name. She was also one of the final five names of this Rumble match. Trish appearing at the women’s Rumble match of 2025 would definitely be a huge deal.
