2025 has just begun and WWE has already come up with a huge shocker and it may even go down as the most shocking incident of the year. Last Saturday, WWE organized the Royal Rumble event and much like the previous years, two Royal Rumble matches were organized for both men and women.
The women's Royal Rumble match was quite predictable as Charlotte Flair triumphed the Rumble match. But the outcome of the men's Rumble match shocked the entire world. The biggest favorites to win the match were John Cena and CM Punk. But surprisingly, the long time Tag Team specialist Jey Uso came out victorious in this match.
Rikishi was Emotional After This Shocking Outcome of a Big WWE Event?
A number of wrestling legends have already talked about this massive triumph, one of them is WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi who is also the father of Jey Uso. Recently, he discussed his son's massive accomplishment last saturday while speaking on his “Off The Top” podcast. Here is what the WWE Hall of Famer had to say;

“This one here was [very] emotional. You see your kid…it was the type of vibe too when they both wrestled each other at WrestleMania. All I can think about is the days back home in Pensacola, all the lonely nights trying to make this thing happen for these kids and so forth, and the struggles that they’ve gone through, because of my life of a wrestler that’s trying to make it, it takes me back to thinking about my late mother.

"These were her grand babies. She always talked to them about the faith and the culture and be good kids, keep working hard, things will come your way. I can only wish that she was here so we could all celebrate together. I guarantee you that she would be front-row seat, [for] her grand babies at WrestleMania in Vegas. So a lot goes on…" concluded Rikishi.
Jey's Royal Rumble win may have been a huge shocker and it may even go down as one of the biggest surprises in WWE history but not everyone is happy about this outcome as a large number of fans believe that this win should have had a proper build up since Royal Rumble is one of the biggest accomplishment in WWE. Some fans even believe that Jey Uso was never a main eventer and he never deserved this win. But we seriously hope that he proves everyone wrong in the upcoming days.
