One of the biggest records in professional wrestling world today is the 16 World title reigns of ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair. John Cena is the only wrestler to touch the record, but this record is yet to be beaten. There are beliefs that Cena may beat this record in the future, even Flair wants him to beat his 16 World title reign record.
There is, however, a little difference between Cena and Flair’s records. Flair has won his 16 World titles from different promotions, whether Cena has only won the titles from WWE. Flair actually won 19 World titles from WCW, NWA, and WWE. But for some reason, WWE has only recognized his 16 World title reigns.
Ric Flair Wants This WWE Star to Break His Record and it is Not John Cena!
But John Cena is not the only wrestler that Flair wants to see beat his record. There is another wrestler who is closing in beating Flair’s record, and that is his daughter Charlotte Flair who is a 14 times WWE Women’s World Champion. Speaking on Busted Open Radio recently, Flair said;
“I still think the biggest thing in the business when it happens…is her [Charlotte] breaking the title record…” said the two times WWE Hall of Famer.
Ric Flair is a 16 Times World Champion
Flair continued; “I just think it’s a woman’s world now and she’s the best woman wrestler alive and I think this time off, as unfortunate as it was because of the severity of the injury, I think she’s been able to sit back and realize just how damn good she is.
Ric Flair was Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008 Individually
“I guarantee you when she walks back in the door of whatever arena…it’s gonna be a gamechanger guys. I’ll bet $10,000 that the best match she wrestles if it’s a good opponent, will get the highest woman’s rating in a long time in a singles match.” Concluded the former sixteen times World Champion.
There is another WWE star who may touch or beat the record of Flair in the future. People often forget about Randy Orton who is 14 times World Champion and he is very much active in WWE right now. He definitely has a chance of beating the record of Ric Flair in the upcoming days.
