A lot of top AEW stars at this moment have worked in WWE previously. Much like their last four World Champions including the present champion have all worked in WWE. There are beliefs that some of their top stars like Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho will be back in WWE sooner or later.
There is another name who has earned most of her success in WWE and has joined AEW recently is Mercedes Mone who was famously known as Sasha Banks in WWE. She is a six times WWE Women’s World Champion and she was indeed one of the biggest attractions of the promotion.
Ric Flair Believes This AEW Star Will Come Back in WWE Soon
Majority of the WWE fans were expecting her to return to her parent promotion. But the dreams of the WWE fans were shattered when she joined WWE’s biggest rival promotion AEW recently. But fans still believe she will come back to WWE one day. Wrestling Legend Ric Flair also believe the same. Speaking with Busted Open Radio recently, he explained;

“I thought Sasha and Ashley [Charlotte Flair] had the best chemistry of all time. I just think the matches that Rhea and Ashley had might have been as good.” The Nature Boy said.

“I look at Sasha [Mercedes Mone]. She has that mindset that she can do whatever she wants to do because she’s that good. I think that ultimately she’ll end up back in the WWE. If you look at the last 10 years, what Sasha has been able to do and what Ashley has been able to do, and maybe a couple others. Name the guys that can stay on top for 10 years. Never take a step back, always in the main event.” The former 16 times World Champion explained.
Mone left WWE back in 2022 along with her then tag team partner Naomi. WWE fans waited for the return of Mone but she never returned. Instead, her then tag team partner Naomi returned to WWE at Royal Rumble event during the women’s Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant and she is doing pretty well.
