Braun Strowman has not really been an active star of WWE throughout last year. He missed action for quite a long time in 2023 too. It was reported that Strowman suffered serious injuries which were keeping him out of action. He was also out of action recently, but thankfully, he made his return strongly in December.
He had been working on RAW prior to his injury. But after his latest return, he was seen working in Smackdown. On his return, he set an instant impact by squashing Carmelo Hayes. This may have created controversy since a large number of fans are seeing Carmelo Hayes as the next big thing, but this victory showed Triple H’s present perspective about Strowman.

But why is Strowman going absent again and again? He may have been suffering injuries lately, but what is going wrong with his fitness? Recently, the former WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion wrote on his Instagram explaining his recent absence from WWE. Here is what he wrote;
“We’ll see if people read what I post or not. Or just look at the cool pix. 2025 has been off to a ruff start for me. I picked up some kind of a bug last week and it had absolutely whipped my ass. I laid in a hotel room for four days three with a fever of 102 or higher for the first three days. A week later I am finally over what I think is the hump. My sever body aches are finally easing up.

“Today is the first day I have been able to move around and really do anything. I have lost 36lbs in this week. Had test taken and all they could determine is that it was a very bad Flu thankfully. I hate I have had to miss last weeks smackdown the premier of Raw on Netflix and I will miss tv again this week. This is yet another speed bump in the road. I will be back bigger stronger and badder than ever!!!

Vince McMahon always presented Braun Strowman as an unstoppable force and also a concrete main eventer. But for Triple H, Strowman never looked more than an upper mid card. His recent injuries also played a vital role in it so the fans can expect him to rise again as a main eventer if he manages to work regularly in 2025.
