On the first of February, WWE organized one of their most famous events of the year which is the Royal Rumble, and much like the recent years, the promotion booked two Royal Rumble matches; one for men and the other one for women. Charlotte Flair won the women's Royal Rumble match and it was an extremely predictable outcome.
But the outcome of the men's Royal Rumble match shocked the entire world. Everyone was pretty much sure that the match was either going to be one by John Cena or CM Punk. When CM Punk got eliminated, fans were pretty much certain that John Cena was going to win. But surprisingly, Jey Uso won this year's men's Royal Rumble match, something that nobody expected to see.

It is now pretty much certain that Jey Uso will challenge his long time rival Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41. The opponent of Koti roads will be decided at the Elimination Chamber event. Jey recently spoke on "Nightcap," where he revealed what he did instantly after winning the Royal Rumble;

"Did it last night [won the Rumble], popped on the road, drove four-and-a-half hours with my baby [points to his son] ... if I'm being honest, [I was] on to the next [show]. I'm in Cleveland, Ohio, I got Monday Night Raw tomorrow, I'm going to check it off as I go. It feels like another day at the office," he said. "Once I fly home with my family and calm down a little, it might hit me [that I've won the Rumble]."

This shocking victory of Jey Uso received mixed reactions from the fans. Some of the fans are extremely happy with this victory who believe that he rightfully deserved to win this match. But some of the fans are not ready to accept him as a main event star as they still believe that he is nothing more than a mid card.

It is reported that this shocking outcome was a last minute decision and it was Triple H who pitched this idea. As of now, the reports suggest that John Cena is going to win the men's Elimination Chamber and will go on to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41. It can now be said that it was John Cena who was previously booked to win the Rumble match before the last minute change was made.
