Pokemon has been one of the most famous anime all over the world and ever since it made its debut back in 1997, it became a classic instantly. With a completely new concept, it managed to enter every household that had a kid and was attracted to animations and cartoons.
Based on the 1996 Game Boy video games named Pokemon Red, Green, and Blue, the animated series was a huge hit. But it remained in Japan during his early days. In 1998, the animated series went International as it partnered with First-run syndication, and in 1999, The WB (Kids' WB!) got the rights.
How to watch all 18 seasons of Pokemon in India
The Indian audience got the first opportunity to enjoy the show in 2006 when the show started to air on Cartoon Network. It was available in multiple languages, including Hindi and English. Much like the rest of the world, the Indian audience loved this show too, and it managed to enter each and every household of India that had children.
It made its debut back in 1996 through Game Boy video games
Pokemon remained with Cartoon Network for nearly 12 years, and all the seasons that were released until then were telecasted. In 2017, it went out of Cartoon Network for the first time in nearly 12 years, and Disney XD got the rights this time. It remained with Disney XD for 3 years, and in India, they decided to change the Hindi voiceover too.
It started to telecast in 1997 in Japan
But after 2020, Disney XD also lost the rights to the show, and for the first time, it moved to OTT platforms. Presently, there are no television channels where you can watch this exciting animated series in India. The only way to watch this series in India is to tune into these OTT platforms.
