Nia Jax has recently moved to Monday Night RAW as one of the transfers of the newly introduced transfer window of WWE. As soon as she shifted to the red brand of WWE, she was instantly given a Women’s World title shot at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event show against the champion Rhea Ripley.

No doubt it was one of the worst decisions of the booking career of Triple H. Nia Jax had a long and strong Women’s title reign on Smackdown. Her sidekick Tiffany Stratton whom she bullied almost every week betrayed her and took her title away.

But Nia did not look for redemption, neither did she want to take her title back. Instead, she shifted to RAW and now she wants the Women’s World title from Rhea Ripley. There is no mention of her title drop to Stratton. Without any doubt, it was one of the worst angles of the recent time.

But Jax vs. Ripley at Saturday Night’s Main Event has all the potential to be a great match. Jax has been pretty impressive after her return in September 2023. Jax recently spoke with Screen Rant where she discussed about her upcoming championship match. Here is what she had to say;

Nia Jax had been a two times WWE Women's Champion

“Rhea is one of our top athletes. Female, male, she's one of our top athletes. I think, previously, when we got into it, we had the main event in Elimination Chamber last year, I tried a different strategy. But this time I feel like I got to match her with some intensity. I think just coming out of the gate, and going pound for pound with her and seeing if I could just wear her down and then pick at her, pick her apart.

“It's a beautiful history. WWE is so good at keeping our history and our culture so strong. I come from a wrestling family, and I've seen my family throughout the years, the decades, on all these historic shows. Being a part of Saturday Night's Main Event is going to be a cool thing on its own, but competing for this women's World Heavyweight Championship is huge because I haven't held that title. That's something that I want in my accolades.

Nia Jax challenges Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event

“That's something I want when I look back in my history to say that, 'Okay, I got that as one as well.' Rhea thinks that she's at the top of the pyramid for the women's division, but I have a little bit of a rude awakening for her, because last year was my year, and I'm continuing it this year. I'm coming for that title. I don't care what gets in my way.”

The build up of the match felt quite rushed as Liv Morgan; the former champion never demanded a rematch for the title. Just like Nia Jax’s Smackdown angle was awful, Liv Morgan’s silence after dropping the title was terrible too. All we can say, it is quite predictable that Rhea Ripley is definitely retaining the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
