Recently WWE released a total of 11 stars and some of the names were quite shocking as fans expected them to see them as the future top stars. The release of Blair Davenport may have been the most shocking one as she did not get enough opportunities but she had the potential to become a top star in the future.

Wrestlers getting released which means people losing their jobs is never a good thing, but many wrestlers in the past went through this difficult time and there are other promotions that are there to offer them jobs. One of the released wrestlers from WWE right now who potentially has the highest chance of getting hired by AEW is Cedric Alexander who can reunite with Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin to join the Hurt Syndicate.

Mustafa Ali Remembers Getting Released From WWE Amid The Mass Releases Right Now

Amid these mass releases, former WWE star Mustafa Ali remembered his own release from WWE. Mustafa Ali got released from WWE in 2023 and he was nowhere to be seen in the promotion after getting released. Recently he appeared on Sports Illustrated's "The Takedown,” where he discussed getting released from WWE;

Mustafa Ali was released from WWE back in 2023

"I think a lot of people were surprised about the release with WWE because I was working directly with Shawn Michaels on NXT. He himself told me he was surprised. At the end of the day, I was a main roster guy making main roster money and there was no plans for me on the main roster." Said Ali.

Mustafa Ali is presently active on the independent circuit

"I fully believe that Mustafa Ali could be the face of a company, could be the world champion of a company..." Said Ali. "I think TNA's hit the jackpot and I congratulate them...and we're going to kick ass man. TNA's on fire right now, sold out houses wherever we go, this live episode was an experience, you could feel the buzz."

Ali had a huge potential to become a top star in the future of WWE but despite having a 7 year run in WWE he could never win any Championships from the promotion. He had one of the most unfortunate careers in the promotion and was destined for many successes in different times but every time WWE planned something big for him, either he got injured or he faced some other difficulties. Presently he is active on the independent circuit.
