Maven Huffman had been one of the most talked about names after his recent works on YouTube where he shares insider news on wrestling regularly on his YouTube channel. He has mostly been a forgotten wrestler who lost in the midst of the big names during the Ruthless Aggression Era of WWE.
Huffman was introduced to the WWE Universe after he won the inaugural WWE Tough Enough competition and soon after his triumph, he was added into the main roster of WWE. He was mostly treated as a lower mid card whose main focus remained WWE Hardcore Championship which he won three times in total.
Maven Reveals How Most of The WWE Stars Were Overly Critical About His Main Roster Hiring
But he shocked the entire world when he eliminated the Undertaker from the Royal Rumble match of 2002. It seemed like WWE might be planning a big push for him but it never happened. Life of Huffman was never easy in WWE. Recently, he appeared on "Wrestling Shoot Interviews" where he revealed the reaction of then WWE stars about his hiring;
Maven won The Inaugural WWE Tough Enough Competition
"Still hear it about, 'Ah, well you guys just didn't pay your dues.' 20 years in the business and I still have to hear how we didn't pay our dues. Which, okay ... the one thing I ask is show me the wrestler who if given that opportunity says, 'Nah, I'd rather be wrestling down at the VFW for $10 this weekend in a Ford Focus filled with 5 other sweaty wrestlers.' Ain't nobody,"
Maven Left WWE in 2005 and Never Returned
"By the time 2004 came, man, I didn't really hear it then," Huffman said. "I still think guys like [Triple H] thought it. I still think guys like Shawn [Michaels] thought it. If you ask me, if I pass Hunter today and shake hands and we see each other, we're cordial, 'Hey man, it's good to see,' I guarantee you in his mind he still hates the way I got in the business. Hates it."
Maven was released from WWE in 2005, never to return to the promotion again. He revealed last year that WWE wanted to get him back in 2008 but he declined the offer; a decision he regrets to this date. Huffman also appeared on the independent circuit occasionally, but he could never earn much success as a professional wrestler. But his YouTube channel has earned him recognition from the fans and it is quite to check his videos.
