Matt Hardy and his brother Jeff Hardy were famously known as The Hardy Boyz and it is considered one of the best tag teams in professional wrestling history. The Hardy Boyz were one of the biggest attractions of the Attitude Era of WWE and together they have orchestrated some of the best tag team matches during the mentioned time in WWE.
The two brothers were also successful as singles wrestlers. Jeff Hardy was more successful as a singles wrestler than his elder brother. Matt, however, started earning success as a singles star little late, mostly after he adopted his ‘Broken’ persona in TNA Wrestling. But he was already on his 40s, so there was not enough time left in his hand.
Matt Hardy Considering Retirement? Also; If He is Planning to Retire with Jeff Hardy
Matt Hardy, 50, is presently not active in any wrestling promotion. His brother, however, has recently joined TNA Wrestling and pursuing the World title. Is Matt considering a retirement? Speaking with Chris Van Vliet recently, Matt discussed his retirement plans, and revealed his plans on whether he wants to retire along with his brother;

“I just think I’m just gonna ride the spiral until it ends. I’m just gonna ride the spiral until it ends. I think in the past I have, I’m just gonna see how I feel and just roll with it. I try not to think too far ahead. I try not to overwhelm myself. I’m more of a day-by-day person. I just try and get through every single day and make it as good as possible.”
“I would imagine it would probably go out that way. We came in that way. We would probably go out that way. Then for Jeff, I could see him, he’ll end up being an artist, living in Cameron or whatever he’s doing.

“I think I’m a lifer in the business. I’ll be working somewhere as a producer or an agent or creative or whatever else, just because I’m so passionate about pro wrestling. I think once I stop being an in-ring performer, I will still contribute.”
There are rumors that Matt Hardy may join TNA Wrestling to form alliance with his brother again. There are also rumors that The Hardy Boyz may get WWE Hall of Fame induction soon, and this is very much possible in a couple of years as WWE and TNA Wrestling have signed a multi year partnership deal so the Hardys can appear in the WWE Hall of Fame while being under contract with TNA Wrestling.
