Lyra Valkyria created history on the second episode of RAW of 2025 friend she became the first ever WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion. The promotion booked 12 woman tournament to determine the first ever champion much like the new WWE Women's United States Championship.
Chelsea Green became the first ever WWE Women's United States champion and she has been an amazing champion so far. She even had a feud with Michin for the Championship. Valkyria on the other hand is yet to have a Championship feud after winning the title. Her Championship has already drew massive criticism since she did not defend her title in more than a month.

Since this is the first year of the Championship, we can definitely expect it to get defended at WrestleMania 41. But who will get the honor to challenge Valkyria at the Grandest Stage of Them All? The present WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion recently expressed her desire to have a match with Asuka at WrestleMania 41. While speaking to Joe Baiamonte for Pubity, Valkyria explained;

“A match that got away from me would be to face Asuka. That would be pretty massive. When I was first debuting on Monday Night Raw, I’ll never forget watching Backlash in France and that’s when I discovered what my debut match would be, which was supposed to be Asuka.

"Unfortunately, she got hurt and I ended up wrestling Dakota Kai, which ended up being quite poetic in itself as we circled back to me and Dakota in a big history-making moment.” stated the present WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion making her intentions clear for WrestleMania 41.

There was definitely a need for a mid card division for women and the fans were looking forward to it for a long time. However, there had been a fear that WWE may not be able to book everything at a time as triple it is already failing to book every one. And that is exactly what is happening. They are struggling to book the new women's mid card titles on a regular basis. We seriously hope that the scenario changes in the future.
