The present and the inaugural WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria is definitely one of the biggest prospects of the WWE roster right now. She was a huge star in the NXT before joining the main roster last year. Having won the NXT Women's Championship one time, she was one of the biggest attractions of the NXT during her time in the brand.

She was drafted into the main roster during the WWE draft of 2024 and she became a part of WWE RAW. She received a strong mid card booking throughout her main roster career so far and it is pretty much clear that WWE wants to push her as one of the top female stars in the future. She even reached the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament where she lost to Nia Jax.

Valkyria may have been a top mid card in the main roster, but she is yet to be promoted as a top star much like she was in the NXT. Recently she appeared on the “Battleground” podcast, where she explained how much creative freedom she has in the main roster compared to the NXT. Here is what she has to say;

“I feel like NXT is a faster pace, whereas on the main roster, I feel like I have more…I suppose room for creativity. A lot of the time, even just traveling week to week, I don’t know, there’s just a lot more space. I feel like, in NXT, you’re in the PC every single day, so I just feel like the lifestyle of Monday Night Raw suits me a whole lot more, and I get to see so much more of the states, I get to travel. I’m absolutely loving it.”

Valkyria may not be promoted as a top star in the main roster yet but after she became the inaugural Women's Intercontinental Champion, the present intentions of the promotion about her is now pretty much clear. The Irish professional wrestler is only 28 right now and surely she has a long way to go in WWE.
