WWE’s present mid card division looks quite stacked as there are multiple top stars on the mid star who can not only make the division more exciting but also have the potential to be the next top main event stars of WWE. One such name who has all the mentioned potential is the German professional wrestler Ludwig Kaiser who is presently active on Monday Night RAW.

Kaiser started working in WWE back in 2017 and he made his television debut in 2018 in the NXT which is the developmental territory of WWE. He started working in the NXT under Ludwig Kaiser real name Marcel Barthel. Soon he became a part of Walter’s Imperium faction and he also became a two times NXT Tag Team Champion Fabian Aichner who is known as Giovanni Vinci right now.

Ludwig Kaiser Reveals How He Was ‘Lucky’ To Get His WWE Breakthrough

Kaiser was promoted to the main roster back in 2022 and he moved to the main roster along with Gunther who was previously known as Walter in the NXT UK. Kaiser had been extremely impressive so far in WWE despite mostly working as a sidekick of Gunther. Recently, the 34 year old spoke with Chris Van Vliet on his Insight Podcast where he revealed how he got his WWE contract;

"The story I've heard is that WWE was looking for a German wrestler and scheduled a tour through Germany to scout talent, visiting various wrestling schools. Apparently, Mr. William Regal — whom I will always be grateful for — heard my name on the list. He knew my dad, saw my picture, and after reviewing everything, he pointed at me and said, 'Cancel the tour, we'll take him.'

“I was one of the guys who never had to do a tryout," he said. "I was supposed to, but two or three weeks before it, I blew my knee out. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to say that, or if I've ever said that before, but yeah, I got injured and had to cancel the tryout. So obviously, at that moment, I thought, 'Oh my god, this is over.'"

Kaiser continued; "Without Hunter, without men like William Regal, Dave Taylor, Robbie Brookside, and Fit Finlay — all those guys who paved the way for European talent ... I'll always be grateful for that, definitely," he concluded this topic.
