The latest feud between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn started at the Royal Rumble event where Owens challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a Ladder match. After Owens lost the match, his real life best friend Sami Zayn came out to check on the situation which Owens could not digest.
On the very next night on RAW, Zayn and CM Punk had a fascinating match on the main event of the show. It was a qualifying match for the upcoming men’s Elimination Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber event. After Zayn lost the competition, his best friend Owens attacked him from behind and beat him down.

Last Monday on RAW, Zayn demanded a match against Owens at Elimination Chamber and after many fracases with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce, Zayn’s wish was finally granted but this is not going to be just any match, but an Unsanctioned Match. Tag Team Legend Bubba Ray Dudley shared his take on this subject while speaking on "Busted Open After Dark" Podcast, Dudley stated;

"The unsanctioned match, I loved the build. I loved how it was made special. We've seen this with Sami and KO for a long, long time, it's gonna happen in Toronto, which is cool. I don't know if fans want to see this to 'Mania. I think it is good for the two of them to get this, but where do they stand at 'Mania? We'll have to go from that.

“Where they go from there, after this for WrestleMania, don't know if the fans want to see this match again at a WrestleMania. I love the two guys work, how you can extend it because we still have a while to go [to WrestleMania] ... I think it's a great placement on the card for Elimination Chamber."
The build up for this match had been really excellent but a follow up at WrestleMania 41 stands ambivalent since Owens is ponderously rumored to face ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton at the mentioned event. Zayn’s fate for ‘The Grandest of Them All’ is still uncertain. Moreover, a rematch between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania does not seem to be required much at the present framework.
