Sami Zayn had an excellent match with CM Punk last Monday on RAW and it was the main event of the show. It was an elimination chamber qualifying match which is set for March 1. The winner of the Elimination Chamber match will go on to challenge a World Champion at WrestleMania 41.

As of now, it looks like the men's Royal Rumble winner Jey Uso will challenge the World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41. Therefore the winner of the Elimination Chamber will get the opportunity to challenge the Undisputed WWE champion, Cody Rhodes. John Cena has already qualified for the Elimination Chamber. Last week CM Punk also qualified after he defeated Sami Zayn on RAW.

Kevin Owens Finally Speaks Out: His Emotional Message For Best Friend Sami Zayn

It was definitely a great match and it may be too early to say but this may go down as one of the best matches of 2025. After the match, Zayn and Punk showed respect towards each other. Instantly Kevin Owens got involved in this angle as he attacked Sami Zayn. He delivered a brutal beat down to his best friend.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn had been former Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions

Owens has brought back the banned Pile Driver move which has already delivered injuries to a several number of wrestlers. Randy Orton is still out of action. Once again, Owens hit the move on Zayn and he was immediately rushed to the hospital. Owens cut a promo on why he attacked Zayn and it was aired on SmackDown. Here is what Owens said;

"It's all your fault," Owens said. "Because Sami, you stood there and watched while Cody tried to end my career. Worse, you know, I think he was actually trying to end ... And you stood there and did nothing. And later on, I watched the Royal Rumble match and what do I see, but you rushing to the aid of Roman Reigns because someone's beating him up in the corner."

Reports suggest that the beatdown that Zayn received at the hands of Kevin Owens will now take him out of action indefinitely as he has suffered multiple injuries. Despite it being confirmed that the injuries are real or kayfabe, the fans are still hopeful to see a huge Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn match at WrestleMania 41.
