John Cena to face Joe Hendry in a champion vs. champion match?
TNA World Champion Joe Hendry also had the opportunity to challenge John Cena’s biggest rival Randy Orton, in a losing effort. Despite Hendry’s defeat, he created history by becoming the first wrestler to compete at WrestleMania while being signed with TNA Wrestling.
A large number of fans are not happy with the way WWE treated Joe Hendry against Randy Orton when he was holding the biggest prize in TNA Wrestling. But WWE is only treating TNA equal to NXT which is their developmental territory.
John Cena won his 17th WWE World title at WrestleMania 41
The present WWE Champion John Cena recently shared praise for Je Hendry when he spoke on The Pat McAfee Show recently. He also revealed that he believes in Joe Hendry. Here is what he had to say about it;
“Joe is awesome. I got the chance to meet Joe at the Rumble, face-to-face. He had a small moment in Rumble and he’s like, ‘Hey, you’re good at this, how do I make this more?’ I gave him some advice, ‘You don’t. You go out there, you be yourself, and you make your moment, your moment. When you try to make your moment more than is given, that’s selfish. You’re a small piece of a great show.’

Joe Hendry faced Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41
“I thought he did excellent at the Rumble. [At WrestleMania], I thought he was brilliant. If I don’t know that kid, I got to know him. He got to do his stuff, he got to be in a WrestleMania match with Randy Orton, and he got a fantastic moment in giving Randy his 20th WrestleMania (match). We got an introduction on a large level to Joe Hendry. I think he’s going to be a major player. He loves it and he gets it right. He has a great mind.”

Presently, such a match would be a huge sensation and both promotions would be benefitted by it. But everyone can easily predict how WWE would treat Joe Hendry despite he is the TNA World Champion. There is a high possibility that they would make Hendry look weak again, but working with John Cena would surely be beneficiary for his career.
