The Jio AirFiber is going to be launched on September 19, 2023 on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. With it, users will be able to play high-bandwidth games, stream HD-quality content, and hold HD video conferences smoothly. There will be no stuttering. It will be pricier than a standard broadband connection, but the experience will be truly elevated. Jio says the approximate speed of the service will be 1.5 Gbps.
The estimated cost of Jio AirFiber will be around INR 6000 mark. Jio AirFiber will come in a package comprising the receiver unit and there will be features like an embedded firewall, Wi-Fi 6 support and parental controls. The service was announced earlier at the Reliance Industries Annual General Meeting of 2023. Jio AirFiber will lock horns with rival Airtel Xstream AirFiber.
