Royal Rumble 2025 had the potential to be one of the best Royal Rumble events in history. Some fans were even expecting a better Royal Rumble than Royal Rumble 2001 which is widely believed to be the best Rumble event in history. It was even considered that Rumble 2025 might have more star power than Rumble 1992.

The event, however, received mixed reactions from the fans. The women's Royal Rumble match was mostly hated by the fans because of Charlotte Flair's victory. "The Queen" did not receive a very positive reaction on Monday night RAW this week either. But Jey Uso winning the men's Royal Rumble match set the biggest upset and shocker in Royal Rumble history.

Jey Uso Finally Speaks Out: Eliminating John Cena to Win The Men's Royal Rumble Match

Nobody saw it coming as fans were pretty much certain that either John Cena or CM Punk would win the men's Royal Rumble match of 2025. John Cena was the biggest odds on favourite to win the men's Royal Rumble match this year and the match even came down to Jey Uso and John Cena in the final 2. It was still difficult to predict that John Cena would lose the match from this position.

Jey Uso is a former WWE Intercontinental Champion

But that is exactly what happened. Jey stunned the entire world by eliminating John Cena from the match and winning the men's Royal Rumble match of 2025. Following this historic event, Jey was featured as a special guest on "The Pat McAfee Show" where he finally talked about outstanding John Cena at the men's Royal Rumble match of 2025. Here is what he had to say;

"That man raised me," Uso said of Cena. "The old schedule was crazy. ... We spent a lot of time with him, and he just taught us the game, man. And when he comes back and he sees where me and my brother are, ... all he does is say how proud he is of us, and he loves us, man. And my family loves John, too."

It almost got confirmed on Monday Night RAW following Royal Rumble that Jey would be challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther at WrestleMania 41. A number of fans are in doubt whether this match would be good enough as an attraction for the Grandest Stage of Them All as these two athletes have already faced each other a number of times in recent months. But one thing we can all agree on is that both of these wrestlers have the ability to showcase a WrestleMania worthy performance.
