According to famous tipstar Majin Bu iOS 19 will bring a new interesting feature that is desktop mode on iPhone. By using USB-C, iPhone connect to external displays for the extension of screen space.
As per Bu, it is not like theDeX. Instead this feature is for extension of your phone screen space briefly, adding a “Stage Manager like interface” to the setup. iOS 18 only offers a basic screen mirroring. But with the help of iOS 19 you can organise all windows. But as per my opinion this is a great and useful feature that every phone and tablet should have.
iOS 19 Desktop Mode
As per the tipstar the external display on iOS 19 is not only the desktop mode it’s a way to extend the external screen of your iPhone. They claim it is “great for presentations, editing or enhanced viewing” it will convert your external monitor to a iPad except the touch screen. Afterall, Apple always tried to convert iPadOS, it’s always looks like iOS.
As per the report the Stage Manager works like interface only, it’s a assumption but Stage Manager actually helps to do multitasking in a organized way on iPad.
9to5Mac claims it’s supposed to be work on the foldable iphone. It will be a necessary part for foldable handset. The larger internal display will work like an iPad. Feature like Stage Manager on iPhone will make the foldable handset more smoother.

Productivity Problem on Device
Firstly, there was a larger screen which allows you an experience of a big screen that you couldn’t enjoy on the smaller iPhone screen. That’s a real problem.iPhone has changed its size, but even the largest handset is smaller than the smallest iPad.
Apple tries to market the marketing on iPad as a productivity device. iPad Pro is almost like a MacBook because you can have a touchscreen MacBook right now. But the problem is that this device is not working as Apple hoped initially.
The cheaper iPads are not great except their large screen. The big screen with Stylus support for reading purpose and watching videos is ok but not great for other work. Morepowerful iPads are great in their display segment but not as great as MacBook.
Even cheap MacBook are fur better than expensive iPads. Hopefully iPad will be better in future if ever run on macOS but it’s a rumor for years. iPad is now in a middle position that it’s not like an iPhone and not good like MacBook.except the productivity features into a iphone and expect the iPad like experience make it more complicated on non foldable phone. It is not fully a ipad replacement but it might be very useful in certain area.

iOS 19 will make the iPhone more valuable. People can use their iPhones in many situations. Apple earned 124.3 billion dollars in the Q1 financial quarter. Only the iPhone sale is 69.1 billion dollar. So, almost more than half of the revenue comes from the iPhone. Whatever the product, iPhone is the star product from Apple.
If any time in near future Apple offers a competent desktop mode on the iphone the other company will start to copy. Only samsung has this feature that is DeX. Desktop mode on iPhone would be a very useful for everyone and a great feature will add by iOS 19.
