Samsung caters to all segments of the smartphone market and its Galaxy S series is meant for the flagship models. The Galaxy S line-up locks horns with the iPhone and other premium Android offerings from the stables of OnePlus and Sony. The S23 series was a roaring success and the successor namely the S24 series is on the way. While the release date of the Galaxy S 24 is not clear, leaks on its specs and images have surfaced online.
The leaks of the Galaxy S24 reveal more on the top-end model, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. As per the reports, for the first time, Samsung is ditching aluminum casing for the flagship device and it will use titanium. This move follows arch-rival Apple closely. Apple is using titanium for its upcoming iPhone line-up. Reports also suggest Samsung will be using both the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SOC and its own Exynos chip in the Galaxy S 24 series. However, the top-end S24 Ultra will only have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 inside.
There will be other changes in the Galaxy S 24 Ultra than casing and CPU, for sure. A 6.8” LTPO AMOLED display with enhanced brightness (reportedly 2,200 nits) is likely to be there. The cameras will be updated too. The main rear camera may get a 200MP sensor. The 3x telephoto lens may get a 50MP sensor but the selfie camera will be the same as the predecessor.
