Edge, who is presently going by his real name Adam Copeland in AEW is indeed one of the biggest legends in the world of professional wrestling today. He was one of the biggest talents WWE has ever produced as he had been a former 11 times WWE World Champion. Even at the age of 51 he is doing a tremendous job.
After having an amazing career in WWE, he was forced to retire from in ring action in 2011. He had to remain out of action for 9 long years and finally in the men's Royal Rumble match of 2020, he made a surprise return as an entrant of the match. He had more than 3 years in WWE and he even main evented WrestleMania 37 by winning the Royal Rumble match of 2021.

He left WWE in September 2023, and shocked the entire world by joining AEW. He made his AEW debut on October 1, 2023. Super he has an amazing career in the promotion, he even won the AEW TNT Championship two times. Recently, Copeland spoke to Uproxx where he revealed his present role in AEW. Here is what he had to say;

“I understand that at times, you need me to bat first or clean up. And so that’s where I feel like, okay, that’s my role right now,” Copeland said, “We’re coming back, fresh off an Emmy nomination, it feels like the time to go, okay, we should probably use this talent who’s in the midst of some pretty cool things happening and highlight that, that’s just business,”

So it’s my time now to move forward and compete for the title and be involved in that storyline. And at some point it won’t be and it’ll be a different thing you need me to do. And that’s really how I’ve always looked at my position. Okay, where do you need me? Slot me in. I’ll make it work.”
Adam Copeland Edge is pretty much out of his prime and the 9 years he lost due to his neck injury was a vital time and he could have offered a lot during this time period. Number of fans were not happy with him for picking up back to back victories over some of the future talents in WWE. His fans still hope that he comes back to WWE in the future and gets a proper farewell from his parent promotion.
