This time Palmer’s shot cum cross deflected from the leg of Wan Bissaka causing a looping ball that ended in the net leaving GK helpless in the situation.

Maresca said, “I was very happy, especially because I consider this game the toughest game mentally. At this moment, when teams come here and sit back waiting for our mistake, there is no space to attack, we need to be patient”. The win of Chelsea secured 43 points, 2 more than City and 4 less than third-placed Nottingham Forest. West Ham acquired the 15th place with 27 points in hand.
