Poco has become popular as one of the smartphone brands offering devices with a focus on value for money proposition. It was a few months back that the budget-centric Poco C51 made its debut. Now, the company has unwrapped the higher-spec variant, with enhanced memory and storage options. You can buy the variant with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM and the other spec remains the same. The device now comes with a leather texture back. The MediaTek Helio G36 chipset powers it.
The new variant of Poco C51 offers virtual RAM up to 5GB. Priced at only INR 8999 the handset is available in two nice hues- namely Royal Blue and Power Black. The smartphone starts selling on Sept. 6. The company is offering an initial SBI credit card scheme which takes the price down to INR 8099. You can buy it online at Flipkart, as of now.
The Poco C51 is aimed at budget-conscious buyers who are not looking for either a gaming powerhouse or an imaging champion, as is clear from its specs. The selfie camera has a 5 MP resolution while at the back there is an 8MP twin camera setup. The addition of a fingerprint scanner is nice and you get Android 13 (Go edition) in it.
Where the 4G device loses out to competing segment rivals is charging and connectivity. It comes with a now-dated micro USB port and slow 10-watt charging. Still, given its pricing and enhanced storage and memory options, it ticks most of the right boxes.
