It was announced earlier that 'The People's Champion' The Rock would return to SmackDown last Friday. The purpose of this return was not clear and the fans broke into theories on why the Hollywood Megastar was coming back suddenly when it was already out of WrestleMania 41.
The fans had no idea about the reason for this return. Is he coming back to announce his participation at WrestleMania 41 or is it a boring reason like the announcement of next year's WrestleMania venue or something like that? After making a grand entrance, he announced the venue of WrestleMania 42 as expected.

But then he asked the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to come face to face with him. When Cody Rhodes came out in the ring, The Final Boss gave him a cryptic proposal; he wanted him to be his champion, and he will be granted every kind of success he could dream of. The meaning of this proposal was not understood by anyone. During the post Smackdown Press Conference, the 52 year old explained the following on this matter;

“In the world of pro wrestling, as everyone knows, it will culminate into a match. Whatever happens, it will end up in the ring.”
“What I really love about this rare air character of the Final Boss, it’s like this white whale unicorn, that the Final Boss and Cody Rhodes, it’s not about the WWE title, it isn’t about a match.”
“It isn’t about bleeding or anything like that. That’s part of our world. It never has to culminate into a match.”
“That’s a very special place to be at, just think. Creatively, character-wise, just think of how much fun you can have.”

Things are not much cleared yet. Is he asking for a World title shot at WrestleMania 41 or is he asking Cody Rhodes to join forces with him which could also be an indication towards the possible heel turn? The answers are expected to be served at the Elimination Chamber event where The Rock would call out Cody Rhodes to answer the question. As of now, all we can see is that the full landscape of WrestleMania 41 may get changed.
