CM Punk made his return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023 after nearly 10 years of absence from the promotion. He left WWE back in January 2014 in anger, and the reason of behind this departure was not getting the main event of WrestleMania. Fans are pretty much sure that he was brought back into the promotion in the condition to feature in the main event of WrestleMania.
But last year, he was left behind of the biggest stage of them all because he picked up an injury at Royal Rumble. This year, fans are expecting to see ‘The Best in the World’ to feature in one of the main events of WrestleMania 41, which is expected to be a World Heavyweight Championship match.

Recently, it is reported that it is already set that Punk will be on the main event of WrestleMania 41. Reports also suggest that he is going to feature in a World title at the Grandest Stage of them all. Recent reports from WrestleVotes suggests that this pitch is already set for the event. They wrote the following;

“I’ve heard so many things on Punk, especially as of late with the Roman [Reigns] stuff being thrown in there. But the one main factor that I’ve heard almost all year is they want him [Punk] to be involved in a World Title match. I don’t know how the puzzle pieces are going to fit, but they want him at the top.
CM Punk is Presently Doing a Feud with Seth Rollins
“I don’t think it’ll be with Cody [Rhodes], so that’s one title match out the window. Does he fit into the other one? I’m going to say yes at this point. I don’t think it’ll be GUNTHER, Bill [Apter], that’s the thing. I don’t think it’s Punk and GUNTHER. So if they want him involved with the title, then what do you do with GUNTHER?”
Gunther vs CM Punk can be a great attraction but there is another match that is heavily rumored for WrestleMania 41 Night 1 main event. It may be a triple threat match between CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre, and the match is believed to be for the World Heavyweight Championship. This triple threat match can definitely be a bigger attraction than Punk vs. Gunther.
