WWE will be creating history on January 6th, 2025 when they move their longest running weekly television show Monday Night RAW to Netflix. This will also mark the OTT debut of WWE. The match card of Monday Night RAW already looks quite stacked as some of the top stars like Roman Reigns and CM Punk are in action.
A total of five matches were listed for the show with some top segments like the beginning of John Cena retirement tour. However, one of the championship matches that was previously listed to be a part of this historical night is now seems to be removed.
Breaking: Major Title Match Removed From Netflix RAW Premiere
A total of two titles matches were announced for the night; the first one was the Women’s World Championship where Rhea Ripley is scheduled to challenge Liv Morgan in a Last Woman Standing match. This can also mark the end of this long running epic feud.

There was another title match listed and it was the final of the tournament to crown the inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. Lyra Valkyria and Dakota Kai were scheduled to meet each other in this match. But recent reports from WrestleVotes on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon this match is now removed from the card of Netflix RAW;

“We are told that WWE shifted the finals of the Women’s Intercontinental Tournament off of the Netflix debut in order for the match to not get lost in the shuffle. It seems like WWE wants to get this title off and running in a big way, and felt as though having it mixed in with a show the size of Netflix premiere would not do that justice.”

WWE delayed the Women’s IC tournament only to feature the final of the tournament at the Netflix RAW premiere. But the plans had to be dropped. Naturally, fans can expect more top segments that has not been confirmed. Top legends like The Rock and Steve Austin are also scheduled to return. Hopefully, RAW Netflix premiere is going to be one of the RAWs ever.
