Liverpool is believed to be pole position to sign another winger cum attacking midfielder this January. The Reds have been excellent so far this season and there are news coming out that they may be planning to strength up their forward line up even more at the upcoming January transfer window.

The new player that is now linked with the English Giants is Rayan Cherki of Lyon. The French U21 had been really impressive throughout his career in Lyon and he can definitely be an excellent choice for the reds if they want to strength up their forward line with their another fresh pair of legs.

Just a couple of days ago, reports from Foot Mercato suggested that French Giants Paris Saint Germain is lining up to secure the signing of the 21 year old. The club is desperate to replace Kylian Mbappe who joined Real Madrid at the start of this season.

Now reports came out RMC Sport which suggest that the present Premier League leaders are also showing their interest in the impressive French youngster. Lyon is struggling badly in financial condition and may get forced to sell out some of their top stars to raise funds. Cherki may be one of the names that is going out of the club.

But do the Reds really need another winger at this moment? They already have top wingers in their squad like Mohamed Salah, Harvey Elliot, Ferderico Chiesa, Luis Diaz, and other names. Cherki can also play as an attacking midfielder and he is pretty comfortable in this position, so he can also be an option on CAM.

With Mohamed Salah’s contract expiring slowly, they may have to look forward to a possible replacement of the 32 year old. It looks like the Reds may not be looking forward to extend the contract of the Egyptian international anymore, so definitely, they will be looking forward to get a replacement.
