Earlier this year, a historic deal was announced that two of the leading wrestling promotions; WWE and TNA Wrestling have signed a multi year partnership deal. The deal makes sure of multiple cross promotion appearances which would benefit both promotions.

We already witnessed multiple cross promotion appearances even before the deal was signed. Mickie James was the first wrestler to make such an appearance. She entered the women’s Royal Rumble match of 2022 as a TNA/Impact Wrestling star. Since then, there have been multiple appearances from both sides.

Breaking: John Cena To Make TNA Wrestling Appearance? – Discussed By WWE Hall of Famer

After this deal came through, we can expect bigger stars from WWE to appear in TNA Wrestling. So far, TNA had been treated equal to NXT and TNA Wrestling had absolutely no issues with it. Now, after this deal, the biggest names can surely appear in TNA. Even John Cena can make a surprise appearance in TNA Wrestling.

WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley who has worked in both WWE and TNA Wrestling recently talked about the possibility of ‘The Champ’ potentially appearing in TNA Wrestling. Speaking on "The Ariel Helwani Show" recently, the tag team legend discussed the possibility of this huge appearance;

John Cena is a 16 times WWE World Champion

"I love the idea, not only because I came up with it. I'll give you a little backstory, okay? When CM Punk — before he went to AEW — I thought that Punk could mean more to the wrestling business if he went back to Ring of Honor, similar to how D-Von and I went back to help ECW that one night, or how Taz went back to help ECW that one night.

“Punk returning to Ring of Honor could have helped the overall health of the entire business. That's why I think Cena challenging Hendry for the World Championship could help the health of the entire business," Ray said. "Do I think that's going to happen? No. But would I be on board if it did happen? Absolutely. Breathing life into TNA in a way that nobody ever thought could possibly happen — that's why I like it."

John Cena Royal Rumble

John Cena is scheduled to participate in the men’s Elimination Chamber match at the upcoming Elimination Chamber event

"I know they have it scaled to about 5,000 right now, but if somehow John Cena found his way onto that card against Joe Hendry, they could probably open up the entire arena and draw 15,000 people," concluded Dudley.

TNA Wrestling has surely signed this deal to get more ratings and viewership. But only with NXT stars, they will not be benefitted much. Only bigger names like John Cena and Roman Reigns appearing in the promotion can earn them the success they are looking for. Since this is a multi year partnership, hopefully, we can expect such appearances in the future.
