John Cena made his return to WWE at the Netflix RAW Premiere episode where he started his retirement tour. He has already confirmed that he will end his wrestling career by the end of this year. Presently, he wants to focus more on his Hollywood career much like The Rock. So, he decided to quit professional wrestling forever.

But recent reports suggest that ‘The Champ’ is dealing with depression lately and it is over the massive failure of his big budget movie Hidden Strike. Originally, the movie was scheduled to cast Sylvester Stallone, but later Cena replaced him. The movie starred Jackie Chan, who was one of the producers of the movie too.

Breaking: John Cena is Dealing with Depression Prior to His Big Elimination Chamber Match This Saturday

The movie was made on a budget of $80 million, but it turned out to be one of the biggest flops ever as it could not even earn $1 million. The failure of this movie led John Cena to depression according to reports. Recently, Cena spoke with GQ where he explained how much effort he gave into this movie but everything failed ultimately. He said;

John Cena is a 16 times WWE World Champion

“I did a movie with Jackie Chan about three to four years ago, and they could care less about how strong I was.” He began, “They just wanted me to kick over my head, which was impossible. I went over there to train with him for about three months and they stretched me like taffy.”

“I immediately lost 20 pounds, which was very difficult for me. I even fell into a weird depression because it was like I’m losing everything that I worked on for 30 years.” Said Cena, “But I began to walk taller, began to have less pain, and I was more flexible.” He continued, “That experience changed my life in many ways, and it taught me the value of making sure your body moves okay.”

Such a big flop at such a stage of his career was a big setback and it rattled Cena like a huge tide. But thankfully, his Hollywood career did not get affected by this flop and he is still quite over with his wrestling fan base. He is returning to action at Elimination Chamber and we are expecting him to receive a strong retirement tour in WWE.
