The former five times WWE Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss has been out of action for the past couple of years and the last major match she had in WWE was in Royal Rumble 2023 where she challenged Bianca Belair for the WWE RAW Women’s Championship in a losing effort. She was not seen on WWE television after this defeat.
She left WWE after this match on maternity leave. Before this leave, she was being slowly built up for an angle with The Wyatt Family faction. It was rumored that she might show up as Sister Abigail. But the storyline was dropped, and so was Bliss’ part in it. Wyatt’s unfortunate death totally rattled WWE.

The fans were badly waiting to see Bliss returning to become a member of the new Wyatt Sicks faction, and potentially becoming the leader of it. With the recent burial of the mentioned faction, it was almost certain that Bliss would return to save it by becoming the leader and continuing the legacy of Bray Wyatt.
There had been reports that Bliss was about to make a sensational return to WWE, and the potential venue for her return was Royal Rumble as she was heavily rumored to be a part of the women’s Royal Rumble match. However, recent reports from PW Insider suggest that her return is now “put on hold indefinitely.”

She suffered skin cancer which prevented her from returning to action previously it was reported in November 2024 that she was “all good now.”
But there may have been this delay before her return to WWE.
