AJ Styles has been active in WWE since 2016 and he has been one of the biggest stars of the promotion ever since joining the promotion. Before joining WWE, he was active in TNA Wrestling and he was one of the fewest names that the promotion established. Styles is arguably the biggest name built by TNA Wrestling.
Styles was already a top star before joining WWE as he had been a five times World Champion in TNA Wrestling. He spent twelve long years in TNA Wrestling and he was also the first Grand Slam Champion of the promotion. It has been more than a decade since Styles made his final appearance in TNA Wrestling.

There is now a big chance that Style may appear in TNA Wrestling following their latest multi year partnership deal with WWE. AJ Styles has also expressed his desire to make a one-off Return to TNA Wrestling. Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on his Insight Podcast, he explained the following;
AJ Styles spent twelve years in TNA Wrestling
“I don’t know (if my return to TNA Wrestling will happen). I’d like it to. I think it’d be fun to do something like that. Like a one-off. I would definitely do it… It would wouldn’t it (old TNA theme song would have to be used for my comeback)? It kind of would,” said the former Champion.
“So, I went up and visited as they were in Atlanta. Maybe a month or two ago [Final Resoltuion, Decemeber 2024]. Frankie Kazarian was there so I was able to hang out with him but there was so many other people there that I was like, ‘Oh my gosh. Oh wow,’ you know? Gail Kim, Christy Hemme, those are my guys. But, Eric Young, also there. But it was really cool to see — I thought it looked really good.

“I think they did a really good job and I know they don’t have a lot of money to work with but for what they had, I thought looked really good. I was like, man, these guys are really doing something. So, it’s exciting to see and I hope that we continue to work with TNA-WWE and help them as much as they’re helping us because NXT talent being shown in TNA and vice versa, it’s good for everybody.”

TNA Wrestling is mostly working NXT following this partnership deal and NXT is the developmental territory of WWE. But there are heavy rumors that the top stars of WWE like John Cena and Roman Reigns would appear in TNA Wrestling in the future. A sensational return of Styles to the promotion would be as delightful for the TNA fans as the rest of the big appearances.
