AJ Styles made a sensational return at the Royal Rumble event earlier last month during the men’s Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant. He remained out of action for four long months with a Lisfranc injury. Styles has suffered multiple vicious injuries which have kept him out action for quite a time.

It had been nine years since Styles is under contract with WWE and it had always been promoted as a top star of the promotion. He had been a two times WWE World Champion as well as the 15th Grand Slam champion of the promotion. He is the only wrestler to transition from TNA Wrestling and earned so much success in WWE.

Breaking: AJ Styles Discusses Potential Retirement And Also Reveals How Long He Wants To Keep Wrestling

Styles, 47, is still going quite strong and he is mostly famous among wrestling fans for his high flying wrestling style. But how long ‘The Phenomenal One’ would keep on wrestling? The former two times WWE World Champion recently revealed his potential retirement while speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight Podcast, he said;

AJ Styles is a former two times WWE World Champion

“I’ve thought about it a lot, much more than I should have. I should have known what I was doing by now. But it’s so hard because you enjoy it so much and I enjoy being around my friends. Don’t get me wrong, I love being at home, but the opportunity to see them and see them doing well, seeing them smile, and seeing them grow.

“Some of these guys like Roman for instance, his selling is on a different level. Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, all these guys, they stepped up. If Roman stepped up, they stepped up with him. I just thought that was so impressive that they do that, and seeing them grow into these amazing Superstars.

AJ Styles made his latest return to WWE at Royal Rumble 2025

“Gunther losing all that weight to get to where he’s at now as the Heavyweight Champion, it’s freaking awesome. Cody, seeing where he’s at and what he had to go through to get to where he was at, and what he’s doing now is at that position, he’s the guy. He puts the work in. It’s really cool to see those guys hustle as much as they are and beat themselves up as much as they have, and still do well. I like seeing that.”

Styles also revealed that he would not continue wrestling in the 50s as he said; “That’s correct. I keep saying that. I’ve said this and said this, but I will not wrestle at 50, I promise you that.” Concluded the 47 year old. It will definitely be a big loss for the fans when there will no AJ Styles in the world of professional wrestling.
