FromSoftware or simply known as FromSoft is one of most famous video game development and publishing company from Japan and it is famous for producing some of the hardest games ever. The company is also famous producing one of the famous video game sub-genre of RPG; SoulsLike.
The company came in existence back in 1986 and their initially released video game was King's Field exclusively for Playstation. The company struggled a lot for success throughout the years despite they released many video games. Armored Core was one of their early successful games released by the company and it also had multiple sequels. But it couldn’t bring them the ultimate success.
Big Rumors on The Next Potential Game of FromSoftware; A Sequel or Something New?
FromSoftware mostly published RPG games and they had to struggle for success until the release of Demon’s Souls in 2009. It was also an RPG game but the concept of this game was revolutionary. This game also introduced the legendary sub-genre of RPG video games; Soulslike.
Sekiro is Believed to be one of the Hardest Soulslike Game From Fromsoftware
Demon’s Souls might have been a big success but it could not bring FromSoft the ultimate success since the game was a PS3 exclusive. In 2011, they brought the Soulslike video games to a larger gaming community when they released the iconic video game title; Dark Souls. It was released for Xbox 360 and Windows parallel to PS3 and it was one of the biggest hits from the company.
Enden Ring was The last release from Fromsoftware
After the massive success of Dark Souls, the company mostly focused on Soulslike video games. They also produced two sequels of Dark Souls, and other top Souslike games like Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring. Needless to say, all of these video games were massive hits.
Their latest Soulslike release was Elden Ring in 2022 and it was also the first Open World Souslike game released by FromSoft. The sixth installment of Armored Core was also released in 2023 which was the latest release from the company. No game has been released in 2024 so far.
There are rumors surrounding the potential next release from the company and there are expectations of another big Soulslike game. But the possibility of a new title seems less their last two titles were Sekiro and Elden Ring. So chances are high for a release of a sequel of one of their ongoing series.
So what previous FromSoft title may get a sequel? Chances are high for a potential second installment of the famous PS4 exclusive title Bloodborne. But Bloodborne 2 release date is yet to be confirmed. There are no reports on Sekiro 2 release date, Elden Ring 2 release date or Dark Souls 4 release date either.
